The Sedona Fire District is honored to have received one of the last remaining artifacts from the World Trade Center. This project is designed as a community effort to place this artifact in a prominent location in Sedona for all of us to remember the events of 9/11/2001. The 5½-foot, 3,000-pound piece of steel is believed to be from the 20th floor of one of the towers. Our plan is to build a memorial in honor of the 2,996 lives that were lost. Included in this number are 343 firefighters and 72 law enforcement officers. It is our goal to fund this project by private and corporate donations. We are asking for your participation in this historic endeavor.

The memorial will be located at:

Station 6
